As a gift for Christmas and New Year, many manufacturers (Samsung, Sony and Meizu) have decided to start updating some of their smartphones to the new version of Android 11. Check if your smartphone is on this list. Perhaps very soon you will receive a system notification asking you to update your device to Android 11.

Now let’s take a closer look at the list of models that are starting to receive an update to Android 11 in December 2020.

Samsung

The Galaxy S10 Lite was announced earlier this year, and at the end of the year, users in India and Spain began receiving the update to Android 11. According to SamMobile. This update, numbered G770FXXU3DTL1, is 2 GB in size and includes a One UI 3.0 firmware with a redesigned interface.

Galaxy S20 FE in both variants (4G and 5G) began receiving updates with the numbers G780FXXU1BTL1 and G781BXXU1BTL, respectively. It also includes a new version of the One UI 3.0 shell.

Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra from December 21 are also ready to upgrade to Android 11 with One UI 3.0.

In July this year, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G was presented, which runs out of the box on Android 10. Following other models, this smartphone also receives an update to Android 11 in December with the new One UI 3.0 shell. The update number is F707BXXU1CTL6. The first recipients were users from Switzerland, according to the XDA Developers portal.

Sony

Sony has promised to begin updating the Xperia 1 II to the new version of Android 11 worldwide by the end of the year. And first it was received by users from Taiwan (update version 58.1.A.0.921), a little later in England, smartphone users in Vodafone networks (version 58.1.A.0.926). And now it became known that users from France also began to receive the update with the 921st version. Update size is about 990 MB.

Meizu

Meizu is not so fast on this issue. The Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro models will receive Android 11 no earlier than spring 2021. But now the information that test builds of the update will begin to be released in January 2021 is encouraging. And since December 23, 2020, the beta testing program has become available. Let’s hope that next spring the Meizu developers will have time to make and release a stable version of the update.
